Reineckeia anceps From the Jason Subzone (Lower Oxford Clay) of the Callovian stage, Jurassic period. Approximately 165 million years old. This ammonite occurs very rarely in the Oxford Clay of Southern England. It was found in a mudstone concretion along with many specimens of Kosmoceras jason (not shown). It measures 2" across. |
