Marlstone sea
The ammonite Pleuroceras salebrosum swimming above a Jurassic sea floor. In the background are belemnites and crinoids. A large Pseudopecten lies on the seafloor (lower right). These creatures are now found fossilised in the Marlstone Rock, a middle lias deposit that outcrops in Gloucestershire, Southern England.
